A Little Note to God

Dear God,

I just got back from my walk and had to write to you. It's such a beautiful day. The sun shone warm on my face, and it felt so good after those bitter cold days we had last week. I looked up into the sky and thought about how You are farther away than my eyes can see. And then You reminded me You were right there in my heart. In fact, You were walking right beside me - Your strong right hand holding tight to mine.

Praise music flowed right out of my pocket - a perfect accompaniment to the day. Who would have dreamed of such a thing Lord? How miraculous You are - to give someone the ability to dream of such a thing. A piano worshipped and when the strings joined in, my vision got all blurry. It always does. I forgot about my tired legs - when I am weak, You are strong.

A gentle breeze came up as I got to the gate of Josie's house, and it carried the loveliest fragrance. A delicate perfume reminding me of blossoms still hidden in the earth.

Directly across the street, at our house, Steve was working to get the trees ready for spring. And I remembered the cruel words of a doctor spoken 47 years ago when he was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. "You won't live to see 40." You always have the last word, Father. Thank You.

I love the way you paint the sky with feathery clouds. It sure looks pretty.

You fill me with joy and peace. I just wanted to say thank You.

With love,
Linda
