Encouraging Words For the Weekend

It is a lovely thing to have a new beginning - a new year, a new day - the turning over of a new leaf. For me, stepping into the new can be fraught with pitfalls. I have been reminded of them over and over again. Yet every new beginning has me right on the edge of falling - once again.

For some reason it's difficult to change the default from doing to being - to stop asking what can I do to asking who do You want me to be. To stop equating my to do list with His plan and then measuring my worth by the check marks.

The Father reminds me over and over again. He whispered it just this morning:

"Set priorities in your life according to My will. You will not be able to do all the things you want to do - or all the things other people would like you to do…

Seek My Face and My will as you look at the possibilities before you…
It will …protect you from feeling anxious or guilty about all the things you are not doing…

When you have set your priorities according to My will, you can relax and focus on accomplishing what I deem important. As you seek to please Me above all else, you will grow more and more into the workmanship - the masterpiece - I created you to be."

"We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."  Ephesians 2:10

Have a blessed weekend dear friends,
