Update/ "Unanswered Prayer"

We heard the first rumblings just before the evening news began. Then the gentle tapping on the windowpanes. Inevitably we rush to the windows, just to see it - and so we did. Sure enough - rain. Glorious rain!

Later, I huddled under the covers watching as lightening flashed into the darkness. I love the sights and sounds of a thunderstorm in the nighttime hours. It is comforting to be inside our cozy home while the storm rages on the outside. I imagine myself tucked safely against the Father's side.

We woke to a clear, windy, sparkling morning. The rain gauge reported the good news - 3/4"!

And we give thanks.

"Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; And give heed to the voice of my supplications~ In the day of my trouble I shall call upon Thee. For Thou wilt answer me. There is no one like Thee among the gods, O Lord; Nor are there any works like Thine."
Psalm 86: 6-8

I love being all cozy and comfy inside
when it's a rainy or snowy day. It just
gets me in the mood for needle work or
beading. So glad to hear you got the
rain you needed. God is great and good.

DC just told me that the grown is as hard as a rock out there in our yard - we need some moisture badly. The mountains have been getting quite a bit. We had 4 snows in the Denver area by this time last year. Either too much or too little!
