He called Himself the Bread of Life, the Living Water, the Good Shepherd. He also said that He is the Door.
John 10:9
I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
I imagine myself standing in a room with many doors, each one opening to a different path. The choice is mine. Isn’t that always the most difficult part – the choosing? How much easier if there were just the one door – the right door. Then I could walk right through and all would be well.
I am at Laced With Grace today (wednesday). For the rest of my devotional, please join me there.

Linda, this makes me think of the hymn, "Who at the Door Is Standing, patiently waiting there..."
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the times you have encouraged us to pray. This week I have had prayer answered for my grandson to find work. I immediately gave God thanksgiving!
Beautifully shared, Linda. Even the choosing requires prayer.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully and honestly said.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm feeling that I'm to stay put: no door is right. That means staying here in this home.
For one thing: my son has a lot of our furniture now! ;>) I periodically chuckle at how we were concerned about storage and the wear and tear it does on good stuff and here that stuff is in a home! The Lord does work in mysterious ways.
I'm standing with you on all things proceeding and finishing well for your closing and the building of your new home. Glory to God! (Have just now felt strong to start catching up on everybody).
