Waiting and Soaring

"But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don't get tired,
they walk and don't lag behind."
Isaiah 40:30 The Message

  1. Wow--you caught an eagle! And the light reflections are so cool. Love this verse.

  2. I always get excited when I spot an eagle. Even that high up you can see the majestic outline.
This is one of my favorite verses.

  3. Oh. ... Your photo makes me "homesick" for my parents' little cabin up in Minnesota. We see so many eagles there.

  4. As I read that verse today in my message at our church, it seemed to be a prophesy for our pastor who is having a problem walking. I had not selected it for that reason, but I took it for him.

  5. beautiful
I do like the Message... it is refreshing.

  6. hard to imagine running and not getting tired.

  7. What a perfect photo for that verse.

  8. Hi Linda!
I have always loved this verse.
    Your photo is also beautiful!
Hawks, eagles and other large birds always catch my eye.
I've only seen an eagle a few times here in the northeast. There are some eagle nests on my way to my father's {where we're visiting now} ...
It catches my breath to see one and I have to pull over to enjoy watching such majesty!

Wishing you much joy, dear Linda,

  9. Isn't it neat to see a weak branch with a strong eagle solidly on it? HMM... how can we apply that to our own lives? I'll have to thunk and thump through that a bit.
