Hope Fulfilled

While the leaves began
their gentle turning,
And the earth prepared
for its long sleep
They scattered seeds,
tiny vessels
filled with potential.

The earth sheltered them,
the rain poured down
and the cold winds blew.
They burrowed down
into the darkness.
Waiting.

The warmth of sun
seeped into the earth
stirring hidden life.
Tender roots unfurled
and life began a gentle
climb toward heaven.

In the blink of an eye
they unfolded,
A sea of blue
dancing in the spring breeze.
Hope fulfilled.

Blessings,
Linda

What does it smell like, standing there next to all those flowers?

    Blessings.

  2. Aren't those blue flowers sort of a Texas flower? Beautiful. A walk through them would bring relief to just about anything that ailed you!:>)
Love your imagery esp. "a sea of blue/dancing in the spring breeze."
"Hope fulfilled" -- such is spring.

    1. Yes Beth - they're Texas Blue Bonnets - the state flower. I just love them. They're spectacular this year. I absolutely must scatter some seeds here at our house in the fall. That's our neighbors' house. I think they get the award for most beautiful lawn.
