The Blue Bonnets are fading - their petals falling gently to the ground. It is a soft, sorrowful good-by. But even as they vanish from sight the memory of their colorful blooms and heady fragrance brings a certain joy. We loved having them with us - even for just a little while.
When every last trace of color is gone, the tiny pods filled with seeds remain. In time, they will fall to the ground, filled with potential. The Blue Bonnets have gone, but they leave behind the promise of life and beauty. Lives well lived, leaving a legacy of flowers yet to come.
