Faith
the texture of hope
the testament of the unseen
the bedrock of prayer
I come
holding tightly
the need no one
can meet
Bend the knee
unfold the hands
and wait
with confident expectation
What then
when silence
wraps around
and heaven turns to brass
Trust
assurance of divine understanding
confidence in infinite goodness
certainty of perfect love
Perhaps,
in reality,
two truths
inextricably woven
to make one whole
