"We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures." ~Thornton Wilder
Here are some of the treasures I found this past week. They were given to me by a Father who gives good and perfect gifts.
little visitors to our home:
celebrating a birthday
a dear son and a precious granddaughter
- a handsome rooster and his lady friends sashaying across the road (saw them while out taking my walk - and no camera!)
- cooling shade and fresh breezes
- little squirrel eating apple cores
- He hears and cares
- my husband - his love and faith
- a young woman sold out for Jesus - her incredible words
- a lazy afternoon and a good movie
- running water
- chocolate with nuts
- striped birthday candles

Wonderful blessings, large and small~
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful comment today on my 5th anniversary blog!
Your little granddaughter looks so much like her dad! Sweetest smile --
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful list! We were hot today but had a breeze and praying for rain, not just for us, but for you too. I spend a lot of time at the window watching critters and looking at the poor wilted flowers.
I love all the sweet visitor you have to your home! Love the photos. Your granddaughter is adorable Linda! Striped birthday candles... how fun! Love your list today! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your list Linda. It's the ordinary, the everyday events that are the most special when we take the time to notice them, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteAndie
I too like your list! God is so good. I'm wondering what type of bird that is in the second photo?
ReplyDeleteOh, how His precious Spirit comes
ReplyDeleteto open our eyes to His continual
blessings! Love your sharing today.
Love,
Sandy
These were such a pleasure to read, Linda. I can identify with so many of them. Our cardinals have been bringing their babies to our feeder and it's been a delight to listen and watch.
ReplyDeleteSimple pleasures. Thank you Lord.
Last night Jerry and I watched three humming birds vying for the nectar in our feeder. Listening to their little chirps and antics is a pleasure I never tire of.
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see that you could finally post all your thank yous. You have landed on the solid rock. You have found your anchor.
I know that when I concentrate on all that he provides that they overshadow the giants that try to keep me down.
You are both wrapped in our prayers. It was so good to see you singing again. Hugs!
Jingle appreciates your support to our poetry potluck.
ReplyDeleteOur week 41 Theme is: Saints, Monks, and Meditations,
Yet, old poems or poems unrelated to our theme are welcome… ;)
Always, your poetry is sunshine to us!
Looking forward to seeing U on Sunday, 8pm or later.
Stay Blessed,
Love and hugs.
