He does all things well-
taking needle and thread,
the perfect hue,
carefully stitching
mending hearts
torn and tattered.
He does all things well-
using thread
woven of mercy and grace
He stitches together
the gaping holes
and frayed edges
making all things new.
Joining the very last One Shot Wednesday gathering (sigh)
and Emily's imperfect prose

Blessings,
Linda
He does all things well.
ReplyDeleteYes, including making you exactly who you are. :)
Very comforting, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI love the analogy.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful poem :)
Beautiful image. There's a lot of sewing heritage in my family and I've seen this happen to fabric and I like the idea of it happening in life.

ReplyDeleteLinda. I love this.
I enlarged the photo and you do beautiful needlework ... as well as beautiful writing!
ReplyDeleteWonderful analogy and so true. He does stitch us back together; mend our tares. Beautifully said.
ReplyDeletehow fitting, friend, for you to write this, as you so often mend my frayed edges with your words... a beautiful write. xoxo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Linda, just beautiful! Oh how wonderfully He mends.
ReplyDeleteNow I know what those patches are from... smiles. But then, haven't we all needed his repairs from time to time?
ReplyDeleteGod is awesom!
ReplyDeleteA title is an important thing, and yours is spot on. To match a very good poem.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that the patches He finds to fix me appear so decorative to others. Only He and I know about the hole underneath.
ReplyDeletelove the hope you weave in
