Busy Days

I think that over the next few weeks life will be a bit busy here. We are catching a glimpse of that little light at the end of the tunnel. Just a few things left to be done on the new house (painting the porch railing for instance) and then one more move.

My head is spinning with all of the details still to be taken care of  (Do I really have to do all that change of address "stuff" again?!). At some point I will be without internet service for a little while (Why does that make me feel all funny inside?). And there are family things that must be taken care of.

Add that to a commitment to spend less time on-line during this Lenten Season, and it means I have little time these days for visiting. I miss you when I don't get to interact. You are a sweet part of my life. It won't be for very long I hope, and I'll try to write a post here and there as time permits.

We are beyond thankful for all the Father has blessed us with. I stand on that five acres, listening to a chorus of birdsong and the wind making ocean noises through the ancient oaks, and want to weep with the sheer joy of it. I cannot take in the depth of His love.

Soon I will sit on that little front porch and invite you to come sit awhile. We'll share a cup of tea and talk about the things that are dear to our hearts. I am so thankful for you.

If you think of us, whisper a little prayer that all will go well. I'll be praying for you too.

Blessings,
Linda

Linda, it looks absolutely wonderful! I didn't realize you were getting so close.

I look forward to sitting on that porch with you. (But will you have coffee, too?) ;-)

Enjoy these last steps and the fruit of your patient waiting. We'll be here.

Oh, my goodness, I love the looks of your new house - and I didn't realize you had so much property. What a blessing that this is all coming to fruition, after so many years of not unpacking those boxes! It's amazing that the beginning of all this is when we "met." I would so love to visit you on the porch (IRL!) and have that cup of tea.

I'm so far behind on reading and writing - I finally got an update post up today on Dwight's situation. I will miss you while you're gone!

Sooooo beautiful. When we moved last summer, I felt the same as you. Just so abundantly grateful. And then I stumbled upon this verse:

"My choice is you, God, first and only.
And now I find I'm your choice!
You set me up with
a house and yard.
And then you made me your heir!"
Psalm 16:5,6

I love me a good porch. And I'd love to sit there with you and share tea, coffee, lemonade...all of it. And maybe some Laity Lodge cookies.

It's beautiful! So are you.
