The Father longs to reveal Himself to us.
"...it is not the nearness of place, but the nearness of relationship. We need never shout across the spaces to an absent God. He is nearer than our own soul, closer than our most secret thoughts. It is for increasing degrees of awareness that we pray."

God does not hold Himself aloof from His children, nor does He play favorites - giving more of Himself to a chosen few. As in any relationship, the more we press into Him, the better we will know Him. When that gentle voice whispers come aside, or there is a gentle tug on the heart to draw near - those who respond will find more of Him. We will find more of Him to the degree we are willing to pursue.
"Let any man turn to God in earnest....and the results will exceed anything he may have hoped in his leaner and weaker days."
" And always He is trying to get our attention, to reveal Himself to us, to communicate with us. We have within us the ability to know Him, if we will but respond to His overtures.
And this we call pursuing God!"
