I confess, this writing for 31 straight days is not easy. Today I did some other writing. Before I knew it, it was time to go to choir rehearsal. It's late now, and my little brain is a bit weary. So I will let the amazing A.W. Tozer write this one for me. He has a few words to share about communication and the way God speaks to us. The truth is, it wouldn't be much of a relationship if there was no conversation. So how do we hear God speaking to us?
"The facts are that God is not silent, has never been silent. It is the nature of God to speak. The Bible is the inevitable outcome of God's continuous speech. It is the infallible declaration of His mind for us put into our familiar human words.... a word of God once spoken continues to be spoken."
Don't you love that? " His mind for us put into our familiar human words..." He bends low and whispers to those who will listen. His voice is heard in creation. It took human form when He sent His Son - Immanuel - God With Us. By His Spirit, He takes words written hundreds of years ago and speaks life into them for our todays.
"Whoever will listen will hear the speaking of Heaven."
