Easter, the glorious day when Jesus rose from the dead securing our salvation. We rejoice knowing He has made a way from death into life for anyone who believes.
For those who have walked with Him for a time, there is another reason to rejoice. Too often we go through our days laboring under the weight of regret and shame. We see His sacrifice and our unworthiness and life becomes heavy. We toss and turn at night rehearsing the day's failures and the ones that litter our past and wake with discouragement clinging to our hearts.
The great news of Easter is "It is done." There is no need to feel guilty or ashamed. We are loved. We are forgiven.
