Day 2 of Advent, and today's question from Ann is:
"What does it mean to you that you were made out of the overflow of God's love?"
Sitting here, on our little sofa in my soft, white bathrobe, just the typing of those words makes me a bit weepy. It's been a day.
I so want to be an encourager, but I also want to be real - and it's been a day. It began well but due to my own failings and to things beyond my control, it went rapidly downhill. On such a day it's easy to forget I am loved by the One who spoke creation into being; to forget I am His most cherished possession. But the truth is, I am and so are you.
When it feels like there is a grand conspiracy to make life difficult, it is wise to remember you have a Father who loves you beyond measure. He opens His arms, draws you close, and you find grace and rest.
