The last page of the Old Testament. Before we turn the page and step into the New Testament read, with me, the words of a beloved Pastor:
"400 years of silence - ten generations
Then in Bethlehem, a baby's cry broke the silence (The Living Word).
Heaven, though silent, was never indifferent to man's distress."
Hebrews 1:1-3
Then in Bethlehem, a baby's cry broke the silence (The Living Word).
Heaven, though silent, was never indifferent to man's distress."
Hebrews 1:1-3
Four hundred years. Such a long time to wait. How many prayers; how much longing? The prophets had given the promise - hope spoken into hearts waiting for deliverance.
Heaven remained silent - until God spoke His answer in the form of a tiny baby. Heaven come down, God made flesh.
Who, in the waiting, could have imagined this miracle of love?
For every waiting heart - He will come in ways we could never have imagined. His love never changes and He still does great things. He is never indifferent to our distress.
Praise His glorious name!
