The Light

Sometimes the world seems to close in around us with a darkness we can almost touch and feel -the desperate circumstances, the monotony of daily work, the heartache of broken relationships, the twenty-four hour news cycle that wearies the heart. Combined with the never-ending onslaught of noise and images that has become a part of our daily lives it can leave us feeling discouraged and empty.

We long for a something to penetrate and disperse the darkness - to light the way to hope, purpose and peace. We find ourselves searching for it in the very places that only deepen the darkness and turn up the noise.

All the while it is there - He is there - offering all that our hearts long for. Jesus - the way, the truth and the life.

“I have come as a Light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer wander in the darkness.”  John 12:46
