"Oh how my soul praises the Lord.
How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!
For He took notice of His lowly servant girl,
and from now on all generations will call me blessed.
For the Mighty One is holy
and He has done great things for me."
Luke 1:46-49

So glad you posted this today!
ReplyDeleteLove Mary's song. Love it. (All the same, can you possibly imagine singing such a song after hearing what she heard?)
ReplyDeletePerfect verse for Advent. In church this morning our priest talked about Mary and the anticipation of baby Jesus. This is a perfect compliment to it...so glad I stopped by from Sunday.
ReplyDeleteShe had to be such an amazing young woman!
ReplyDeleteCan't you just imagine? Thanks for posting that today.
ReplyDeleteHer faith is such a strong example of humility mixed with love.
ReplyDeleteI read that and think to myself, "No. Way!" It never ceases to amaze me. What great faith that young girl had...
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking, Linda.
I was going to say just what Deidra did... it never ceases to amaze me when I think about Mary's faith and strength! Beautiful post Linda!
ReplyDeletebeautiful post.
ReplyDeleteTotal trust--and the declaration the He had done great things for her. I wonder what might have gone through her head between His words and Her song.
ReplyDeleteI was reading these words the other day in my Bible, and just trying to imagine if I'd be able to sing them, if I had received Mary's news. I wonder if I'd be cowering in the corner instead.
